Part of Your World will delight classic fairy story fans, Disney lovers and anyone who enjoys a clever and creative romance. The story is partly based on The Little Mermaid, penned by Hans Christian Anderson and published in 1837. Those familiar with the original will recognize the elements and movie goers will also spot some fun nods to the Disney reimagining in 1989.

But this is a Karn Witemeyer take, so yes you’ll see the crossover, but there’s also a whole new story around the historic parts. Avid swimmer Murial Quinn’s life is rocked when she saves eligible bachelor Zane Erickson who’s weathy fmaily do not approve of a girl from the less affluent side of town. Throw in a scheming machmaker and some dastardly deeds and you’ve got a cracking story.

As ever, the emorional and spiritaul intelligence in Witemeyer’s work is spot on. I invested quite quickly and couldn’t see how the romance or the treachery (no more details given). I found myself swept up in the relationships and the world the author created.

If you love clever romances, great world building, tense situations and clever storytelling – this is a no-brainer.
