Justice Mission

Justice Mission, by Lynette Eason

Justice Mission starts with a bang and this little book grabbed me right from the beginning.

This isn’t a spolier – the book starts with a crazy kidnapping and just gets more suspensful from there. Sophie Walters, an admin assistant to the chief of the NYPD K-9 unit finds herself in big trouble, with no idea of the source. NYPD dog handler Luke Hathaway determines to find Sophie and protect her. The two must work together amid a backdrop of constant threats and no clue who their enemy is.

This is a clever story. Fast-paed, because it’s Lynette Eason. I really liked how at the beginning both main characters were aware of their differences but over time (and terror), these faded as their feelings grew. The plot was clever and the actual culprit wasn’t easy to guess and I didn’t guess correctly. As someone who reads a lot of romantic suspense, that’s a gift.

I reeived an audiobook copy of Justice Mission from the publisher via NetGalley. The views are my own.
