Nothing But Air is a cracking read that kept the pages turning. The story is part of a series but works well as a standalone – I haven’t read the first two (but want to now).
Teauge Hamilton is a climbing ranger in The Grand Canyon National Park, and a full on adrenaline junkie. He often throws caution to the wind determined not to lose anyone else after his brother died in a hiking accident. His apparent lack of self preservation has infuriated park dispatcher Eden Garrison, a woman he’s trying to avoid falling for.
After Eden’s fiancee died taking too many risks, the last thing she needs is another daredevil invading her heart. But when the park is threateden by treasure hunters, Eden must dust off her climbing gear and help Teague, no matter hte cost to her heart or the risk to both their lives.
Nothing But Air
Where do I really start heaping on the praise? I knew this would be fantastic. no one writes adventurous contemporary romance than Susan May Warren, and Tari Faris has penned some of the loveliest contepmporary romances out there. What a team. The stakes are high. The location almost a third main character. The romance palpable, along with the weight of things keeping them apart.
The secondary story – the hunt for missiing treasure was a clever addition and allowed a small glimpse into National Park formation. If you like destination stories, high on the action and emotion, then this should be a no-brainer, get to the bookshop right now choice.
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley but the glowing is all mine and they earned it.
