Scent of Hope

Scent of Hope, by Susan May Warren

Scent of Hope is the second thrilling insstallment in the Call of the Wild series, but also stands alone. And it’s a doozy.

Harley has turned her back on her hone town after a drug dealer detroyed her family. But now she’s back, hired to help track own the dealer and bring him to justice. She didn’t count on Jericho also returning with his search and rescue dog to aid in the hunt. Now the two must confront ehir past id they’ve any chance of tracing a killer before they beome his next victims.

So yes, a lot going on. As ever with an SMW book, there’s a lot of action, twists and turns and great character building. There are glimpses into folks we’d find in other series, written to delight avid readers while not alienating those who haven’t read everything.

All that said, for me, the best parts are twofold. Susan May Warren can describe an area or an activity like no other writer I’ve encountered. I almost feel the chill and taste the food. And secondly, her spiritual threads are second to none. I always out her books down and feel encouraged.

I received a copy of Scent of Hope from the publisher via NetGalley. The enjpoyment is all my own.
