The Lighthouse at the Cove

The Lighthouse at the Cove, by Amy Clipston

The Lighthouse at the Cove would make a perfect beach read. A story this sweet could also add some sunshine to a dreary winter day. In this story we meet travel writer Kaya who gets stranded in Coral Cove when her car breaks down and repairs turn out to be complicated. Thankfully, single dad Reid offers Kaya his spare apartment while she waits to get back on the road. In return, Kaya throws herself into helping arrange the town’s Light the Dark festival fund crucial repairs to their lighthouse.

The story is very cute. Kaya bonds with Reid’s sister and daughter and becomes central to the success of the festival, even as work threatens to pull her away. A series of articles about the town start to generate interest and things are looking up. Until her ex shows up with a job offer that could ruin everything she’s started to grow.

This is a no-brainer for anyone who enjoys lighthearted contemporary romance. this is like Hallmark in a book. I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley. The views are all my own.
