Last to Fall

Last to Fall, by Lynn H. Blackburn

I didn’t want to read Last to Fall because I didn’t want this series to end. But my wipplower gave out and then I devoured it. Sigh. This was annoyingly bingeable.

Bronwen and Mo’s story has been brewing in the backround for two full novels and a (fantastic) novella. Finally, there was a reward for my patience – an excellent conclusion. Mo (Quinn) is a former Army Intelligence officer and he left service with skills. Little did he know he’d have to use them all to keep the woman he’s loved forever, safe. Bronwen Pierce is still running her family empire, The Haven resort, despite several unpleasant attempts to oust her. Unfortunately, Bronwen and Mo don’t speak. At all. When her life is put in jeopardy, Mo breaks his rule, but can’t help wondering if the move will cost him his heart.

This story is a number of things; beautifully written, cleverly plotted with more twists that Six Flags, full of excellent secondary characters and with some excellent romantic tension. There’s plenty more family drama between the Quinns and the Pierces too. Oh and it comes with a very satisfying end. I loved the entire series.

Love a strong ensemble cast, compelling love story and gripping suspense? I highly recommend Last to Fall. I received a copy of this book from the author via NetGalley. The honest to goodness fangirling is all me and should come as no surprise.
