For Fiction Friday this week, we are previewing the rest of the month. I’m focusing on, you guessed it, Christmas in July. Do you love all things Christmas? Other than A Christmas Carol, up until a few years ago, I’d never read a Christmas themed book. But how much fun to play catchup.
My choices involve my favorite from last year’s releases and the two I’m MOST EXCITED about for 2021. I hope you’ll consider adding a little Christmas to your summer, and as always, if you enjoy a book, hug the author by leaving a review. You don’t have to write a treatise, but a few words can go a long way to helping boost sales. Coming up I’ll be chatting to Pepper Basham, Courtney Walsh, and Cara Putman. We’ll discuss their work and how they create a festive vibe, when the actual writing takes place during a different season. I do hope you’ll enjoy hearing from them as much as me.
My favorite new Christmas book from 2020 came from the excellent Courtney Walsh. She’s been described as a master of the contemporary romance genre, and I’d have to agree. While she often writes books with a summery feel, this author clearly has all the skills to turn the seasons to her favor. I hope you love Hayes and Pru as much as I do.

I was fortunate enough to see an extremely early copy of The Mistletoe Countess by Pepper Basham and have been raving about it ever since. I am very excited for the rest of the reading world to get their hands on Freddie and Grace’s story. These characters leap off the page and into your heart. Coming our way on September 1.
The Mistletoe Countess is up for preorder…
Finally, what’s not to love about a festive collection? I preordered my copy of Christmas in Mistletoe Square, based on the cover and the author names, before I even read the back cover copy. These novellas, releasing on October 1, take us to the foothills of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, where the romantic fate of four couples hangs in the balance.

And if these aren’t enough, check out my top Christmas reading choices so far…
I loved Courtney’s book. It’s been optioned for a movie, I believe.
And the TBR list grows! As if I needed a reason to start getting excited about Christmas already. Thanks for the recommendations Debb.
