by Hallee Bridgeman
I read Word of Honor in two days. That should tell you everything you need to know. This book is a masterpiece. While the second in a brilliant series, the story also stands alone. But don’t miss out. The first one is great too.
Book two features Bill Sanders, also known as Drumstick. Bill is one of those characters who leaps out of the pages and grabs our heart. A southern boy with all the charm in the world and an astonishing set of idioms. Truly astonishing.
FBI Special Agent Lynda Cutler is fighting ecoterrorism, and after her partner is murdered, travels to Istanbul to take the organization responsible for his death, down. Unfortunately, the man assigned to play the role of her husband is Army weapons expert Bill Sanders, the man who broke her heart in college.
This is the second book by Hallee Bridgeman that I’ve read. And the second one I’ve inhaled. The author has the ability to suck a reader in and hold their attention until the story is concluded. I loved the romance thread as two wounded souls are slowly repaired, the suspense thread that kept me guessing and made me gasp, and the spiritual contest which was also solid and inspiring.
Bring on book three. Quickly.
