Are you a reader who likes to read with the seasons? For 9 months of the year, I’m happy with whenever a story is set, but From mid-October I like some festive in the mix. There are some wonderful Christmas reads out there, here are some of my favorites…
Where Treetops Glisten
This beauty is an annual must-read for me. Christian Fiction greats, Tricia Goyer, Cara Putnam and Sarah Sundin have each penned a truly lovely story set in the bygone age of World War II. They’re sure to set your heart for the season, I know they set mine.

The Christmas Heirloom
Four master storytellers travel across time in one of the most charming Christmas collections I’ve read. Each story takes place in a different era, but they’re all linked by an antique brooch that seems to signal true love is on the way as it’s passed from generation to generation.

A Prairie Christmas
If you dream of life on the prairie, this is the Christmas book for you. Nine very different, yet equally festive short stories that all point towards the joy of Jesus birth. This book makes me smile every time I pick it up and I hope it does the same for you. Another of my annual reads.

Enchanted
Melissa Tagg is the genius behind these three romantic Christmas stories rolled up into one collection here. You could almost tie a bow on the top. Each of the very different Renwyke siblings gets on the path to a happy ending, in lovely tales, sure to make you sigh with contentment.

Once Upon a Christmas
Who doesn’t love a good fairytale retelling? The only thing that could make that genre better is if you gave the reworked stories a Christmas theme. Oh yes they did. What a great gift to readers! Highly recommend this dreamy set of happily ever afters.

The Wedding Dress Christmas
This is a dreamy addition to a brilliant series. Take a festive trip to Hearts Bend, Indiana where JoJo Castle has settled in to avoid the world, and her former best friend, the country sensation Buck Matthews isn’t planning to stay. Hmm… let’s see about all that.

Falling Like Snowflakes
This was my first book by Denise Hunter and I’m still playing catchup on everything else she’s written. That says it all. But for more details on this book, a single mom on the run and a truly swoony Christmas Tree farmer. What more could you want? More books? Well, yes – there’s two others in the series.

Christmas on a Mission
There’s nothing like a beautiful story of rebuilding after tragedy. Can Audra be brave enough to do that after meeting a soldier friend of her dead fiancĂ©. The last thing she expected was for him to reopen her heart, but then again, Christmas is the season of hope. You might need a Kleenex, or two, or a boxful.

Silent Night, Holy Night
What a gift! Characters from two of Colleen Coble’s favorite series found in this festive collection. Bree and Kade from Rock Harbor, Michigan are preparing for their first married Christmas, while in Hawaii, Leia and Bane are gearing up for their wedding. Until trouble strikes.

The Perfect Love Song
This is one of my favorite Christmas books from 2019. Jack is preparing for a dreamy wedding in Ireland but his best man Jimmy loses sight of what’s important after penning a huge festive hit with his girlfriend Charlotte. Will what drew them together tear everyone apart?
