Wildflower Falls closes out the brilliant Riverbend romance series and I loved it.
This time, in a fun twist, we meet the biological half-sister of Gavin and Cooper. Charlotte only discovered the identity of her father after her mother passed away. She’s now got two goals – expand the family horse ranch she’s been left, find her father and get to know her brothers.
Meanwhile, horse trainer Gus wants to help Charlotte build her business, then move on to Kentucky and the next job on his equestrian bucket list. Neither planned on falling in love. Or how complicated that could get in combination with family dynamics.
Denise Hunter is at her best when writing heartwarming family based love stories with a high emotional stakes. This book is no different. I particularly enjoyed the complexities of when to tell blood relatives that there’s a sister they never knew about, and how that would impact the wider community. Watching Charlotte and Gus both learn to trust again made me smile several times and I thoroughly enjoyed every page of their journey.
Wildflower Falls stands alone as a story although reading it as part of a great series is also a win. The benefit of reading the whole series includes three other great books and then the fun of seeing previous characters as their lives unfold. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a sweet romance.
I received a copy from the publisher via netgalley. The opinions (fairly gushy) are all mine.
