The Cowboy's Marriage Bargain

The Cowboy’s Marriage Bargain, by Deborah Clack

I could not put The Cowboy’s Marriage Bargain down. I’m proud to call Deborah Clack one of my closest friends. She’s also one of the most gifted writers I’ve ever encountered and I hope you love her voice as much as I do.

Truthfully, I’m super grateful this book is a winner. Having championed Deborah’s work for a number of years, it’d be really awkward if this was bad. Phew. The premise of this story is clever. A woman who needs to marry to inherit and a ranch owner who has no interest in a relationship but needs funds for an important charity project to support veterans.

Accountant Lexi Gardener and rancher Chase Cross are no one’s idea of a match made in heaven, but there’s something about their relationship that just works at the deepest level. Deborah Clack is witty and wise. This is a clever plot, tightly written and with characters you cheer for from their first appearances on the page. The romance kept me guessing and left me beaming. Bravo.

I read a very early copy of The Cowboy’s Marriage Bargain and then bought my own to put on the bookshelf and smile at. Highly recommended. This is a quick read that’ll pull you in and make you happy.
