by Susan May Warren
Sundown is the perfect conclusion to another great series form Susan May Warren. The book stands alone, but I’d still recommend reading the first two. As a reader, I love knowing the backstory of the characters. Strictly speaking, that’s not always necessary (and isn’t in this case), but I think it makes reading so much more fun and adds a different depth when you have ‘history’ with the characters.
As you’d expect in an SMW novel, the action kicks in early and doesn’t stop. Former Delta Operative Colt Kingston knows something isn’t quite right with houseguest Tae. She claims to have survived a plane crash and be on the run from some vey nasty terrorists.
Turns out she’s telling the truth and it’ll take Colt, his brothers and a number of his former military buddies to stop the bad guys. And as plans are made to protect Tae and stop the terrorists, Colt loses his heart to the brilliant scientist with the fate of the world on her shoulders.
The reasons Susan May Warren is an auto-buy for me, are as evident in this book as the previous three series I’ve devoured. There’s nail biting action, electric romance and great camaraderie. This author has brilliantly developed several series and frequently intersects the characters. For me, that’s a complete win. Glimpses of characters I’ve loved before are gold.
So, if you like romantic suspense or maybe adventure romance, then this is an author and a series you need to check out.
