Starstruck

Starstruck – Amy Clipston

Starstruck, by Amy Clipston, is highly recommended for readers who enjoy a swoonworthy romance.

This review begins with a trip to the ER. I’m fine but needed to get something checked out. As you’ll most likely know, the Emergency Room isn’t usually a quick visit. When I arrived there was standing room only. So I sat down and opened Starstruck. A third of the book later, I was given the all clear (the thing I thought was a bruise, was just a bruise, not a clot).

Decidedly less stressed, I drove home, got into bed and at the halfway point of the book, reluctantly put it down. The following day, while waiting for the rain to lessen so I could run, I got to three quarters. Are you getting the picture? Don’t pick this up when you’re busy. That would be a problem.

Alex and Heather are a lovely pair of main characters who will jump into your hearts. He’s the lonely rocker wanting more than a life on the road. She’s the honest waitress who’s intimidated but not overly impressed with fame, who just wants to open her own business.

But how can you build life when one of you is permanently on the road? Like I explained, this sweet story grabbed me right away and didn’t let go until the end. A little light on faith for me, but a swoony romance nonetheless. Definitely recommended.

I received a copy of Starstruck from the publisher via NetGalley, the views are my own.
