In This Moment is my second Gabrielle Meyer book. Just wow. Waiting for book three is going to be painful.
This time, we see Libby’s daughter, Margaret, or Maggie, or Meg. Because she’s the daughter of two time crossers, Meg inherits an extra era from each of her parents. She lives in 1861, 1941 and 2001. In each time frame she has a suitor and each one teachers her a little more about who she really is, in any era.
As I expected having read When The Day Comes, the first in the series, the depth of historical details is impressive and when Meg is caught up in various events, I felt transported to the scene. My one tiny niggle is Meg’s remark that World War II would begin after Pearl Harbor. Given that Meg’s brother is a member of the British aristocracy, she knew of British involvement from 1939. But this is small and in no way spoiled my sheer enjoyment of this book.
Much like the first installment of the series, In This Moment is tightly written, attention grabbing and well thought out. If you enjoy historical romance, both books are highly recommended.
