Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter

Autumn Skies kept the pages turning and I fell more in love with the characters as the chapters flew by. This third and final installment of the Bluebell Inn series works completely as a standalone novel. However, it’s a great end to a lovely trio of highly recommended books.

Finally, after Grace leapt on to the pages in Lake Season, the youngest of the Bennetts gets her own story. Now 21, Grace is contentedly helping run the inn, and preparing it for sale, while building her outfitting business.

Her orderly routine is completely disrupted when she walks into reception and sees Secret Service agent Wyatt Jennings, looking for a place to stay. Little does Grace realize that the encounter will change both their lives forever.

Autumn Skies is a cleverly woven tale of self-forgiveness, survival against insurmountable odds, and the power of love. I liked Grace and Wyatt tremendously, and thoroughly enjoyed watching them fall in love at the most inconvenient time.

The Bluebell Inn series has made me wish to spend every vacation in North Carolina, as Hunter makes the small town location every bit as much a part of the book as the living characters. I’d highly recommend a visit from between the pages.
