The Perfect Love Song is a lovely start to the Christmas reading season. Here we have a touching story of two brothers, in a band, trying to secure their happily ever afters.
As Jack’s oh so romantic Christmas Day wedding in Ireland draws near, his brother Jimmy changes plans. He can’t miss playing solo on a major tour and all because he cowrote a love song with girlfriend Charlotte. A tune that was meant to bring them closer is suddenly pulling them apart.
Charlotte tries to be pragmatic but as the bright lights continue to beckon, Jimmy’s attendance at the wedding looks doubtful. Then a chance encounter puts him back on the right path. But will he be too late?
This is a charming story told like a modern day fairy tale. Initially the third person omniscient viewpoint threw me off, but once I got into my reading stride, this was an enjoyable read.
