The Christmas Yes List

The Christmas Yes List, by Melissa Ferguson

The Christmas Yes List is a fun and heartening way to kick off your holiday season. Let me start by saying I don’t love reading Rom Coms. But this one hit just the right balance for me. Not so much comedy that it didn’t feel real, and not so much romantic drama that it wasn’t funny.

Chloe is fed up of bring a doormat to please everyone and when the last straw hits, she decides to reverse her behavior and ask such awkward things that folks will say no. Then she meets James, who seems only to happy to comply with her crazy ideas.

Any more and I would spoil the story, but if you like big family stories, with fun best friends to mix things up, this is for you. If you like holiday stories with all the festive feels, this is for you. And if you like a few laughs and some highly creative misunderstandings along the way, then again, this is for you.

I found the twists and turns entertaining and well thought out, the characters wholly likable, and the backdrop of a small, family oriented town, charming. This book is a winner all round.

I received a copy of The Christmas Yes List from the publisher, via NetGalley. The views are my own.
