Fireline

Fireline, by Kate Angelo

Fireline grabbed my attention from page one and didn’t give it back until I reached the end. Something about these characters settled deep down inside me. I needed to make sure everything ended well before I could close the book.

Booth is living a secret double life as a Homeland Security agent in hiding. He has a new identity working as a smokejumper. He’s teamed up with Nova, as she battles to be the next crew chief and show her big brother she’s got what it takes. Then a missing nuclear warhead shows up and all bets are off. This includes plans to keep their hearts guarded against rising attraction.

Along with sizzling tension in the air from fires, the chemistry between these two is off the charts. Booth lives life on the edge of disaster and Nova more than proves her courage. Even more impressive is their ability to adjust as their feelings grow. As ever with a book from the storyworlds of Warren and Phillips, there’s a strong faith arc well delivered by Kate Angelo.

I definitely recommend Fireline and the rest of this excellent series.
