One Wrong Move

One Wrong Move, by Dani Pettrey

There’s little more that I enjoy than a new series from a favorite author. One Wrong Move Doesn’t disappoint. For this series, Pettrey has moved from coastal Maryland to New Mexico. She’s also traded the Coast Guard for private investigators with checkered pasts.

The premise of this story is art heists. The book begins with Christian being paged to attend a gallery that’s been robbed. There, he encounters Andi, an investigator for the gallery’s insurance company and the two team up to solve the theft. But Andi has a troubled past herself, as Christian’s brother is quick to point out.

As you’d expect with a Dani Pettrey novel, the central characters pop but the ensemble cast around them will also grab reader’s attention (please type faster on books 2&3). The action blends seamlessly into the romance and character development and as such I read this book pretty quickly. ani Pettrey remains one of my top authors to read and at the peak of her game.

I received a copy of One Wrong Move from the publisher via NetGalley. The obvious enjoyment is all my own.
