Behind Love’s Wall is an engaging trip to Michigan’s Mackinac Island, in present day and during a time of intrigue.

TV Interior Decorator Willa visits the island to consult on a possible redesign at the island’s Grand Hotel. During her time there, she discovers a journal in a disused room. A room that at the center of a possible murder scandal.

One hundred and twenty years prior, popular singer Lily arrives with her cousin Clem to entertain guests for the season. The two plots, separated by 120 years mirror each other in such a clever way, I can’t imagine how much time was spent devising this clever plot. The relationships in each time will warm readers hearts, even as mysteries intrigue and keep the pages turning.

I definitely recommend this book by a clever and insightful author.
